NHS Highland

Frailty ECHO

We are supporting partners in primary and secondary care to develop an ECHO programme which looks at the six domains of frailty in Highland in relationship to Single Points of Access.

Facilitator

Why do we need a Frailty network?

The aim of the programme is to give attendees a better understanding of what can be done to help patients with frailty with real-world scenarios and in the context of services which are actually available rather than what would ideally be available. With clinicians having to managing increasingly complex frailty presentations with limited resources, this programme takes a holisitic view of frailty through real life case studies to help bridge this gap.

Who is it for?

This ECHO network is aimed at clinicians in NHS Highland Primary Care which would include GPs, GP Registrars and Advanced Practitioners (from nursing, paramedic, pharmacist backgrounds) who are involved in holistic management of patients with frailty.
