Why did we join ECHO?
Project ECHO provides an effective way to strengthen and build practice within care homes which allow staff to look at unusual or complex cases and gain insight and learning from subject experts. The potential benefits for further outreach and accessibility were also clear to us when deciding to take on this project.
Current and planned work
We have successfully run a series of 4 ECHO sessions focused on providing care home staff a chance to discuss issues that they face at work. These sessions were part of the Scottish Government's My Health, My Care, My Home strategy. We are hoping that we will get the opportunity to run further sessions discussing topics in care.
